I have Just received my SD here in Australia and have an issue straight up. I fly Mode 2 but the Tx is Mode 1 (I think) I have gone into the Tx setup and changed it to all the Modes but it still does not put the throttle and yaw on the left?? I have googled but can find no information on how to change the Tx to Mode 2. Any ideas?
In addition, whilst watching some videos on the SD, I noticed that there is Mode 2 available on the Tx but the L/H stick is "ratcheted" in the throttle axis, where as both my sticks are self centering with no ratcheting on any channel. Is mine missing something?
Lastly, is states that the SD is waterproof and it does look fine except for where the motor wires go through the arms. There is simply a hole where the wires disappear with no sealant or anything. Is this normal?? Your help in getting me airborne would be greatly appreciated!!
In the development of the splash drone they change the throttle stick to being centred instead of the ratchet type, I think it is only a spring fitted inside the controller but not sure if the flight controller firmware would be compatible or not using it like that so you would need to have a word with the manufacturer if you planned to do that to check.
The motor wires that go through the frame are fine as there is a big rubber block clamping the wires inside to prevent water ingress. I would however test the integrity of the unit in the sink/bath before you use it in the water, some people have had leaks which has mainly been through the gimbal wires if you have one of them fitted? Don't leave it submerged as if water does enter it will cause damage so if you see any remove and dry out immediately.
Before you fly ensure you carry out all calibrations and test all modes/switches to ensure all is ok, if you have any problems while flying remember that switching to atti mode will enable you to recover control of the drone if the gps is compromised.
As it turns out, Pro versions bought in Australia only come with a Mode 1 Tx unless you ask for another mode. The 4 Modes available in the settings menu do not change the throttle to L/H at all. Easy fix though. Simply open up the Tx, swap the Throttle and Pitch molex plugs at the gimbal potentiometer boards. Works like a bought one!

tyuyrt: Hello, I just installed a new GPS with lid - it only works when the lid and cable are dangling down the side of the drone; as soon as I close the lid the lights flash yellow red and green and I cannot take off. I'd appreciate any insights.

robertinmaine: I have a Splash Drone 3 with an intermittent issue with recording/pictures. After several attempts to fix over emails, Sent drone and controller to Urban Drones, fixed, said it was a pairing issue. Worked for 1 flight Records when on WIFI. Suggestion?

chris: marksdrone: just had the same issue with mine. It may be the accelorometer that you need to calibrate first and then do the compass after that.
